Week in review and a Saturday Brunch

This has been a fairly quiet week with less drama and friction than the previous weeks. Things seem to be calming down a bit. Wednesday nite was our monthly Stampin Up class at Jan's. As usual we had a ton to catch up on and it took us a bit to get going but we managed to finish our two cards and little treat box despite all of our talking.

I was able to stay home yesterday and actually accomplished more than usual. Cleaned, laundry and making Valentine Treat bags for family and staff. Yeah me.

Today was brunch at Mystic Paper. What a fun morning this was. Jennifer made Quiche and it was simply wonderful. Ellen did the muffins and again yummy. Kim J has been so sick with pneumonia plus the loss of her beloved Maverick, but she was there too. It was so fun seeing old friends and meeting new ones. Kim H even beat Colleen and I there. Hey what is wrong with that picture as usually Colleen is the first to arrive:)
We were served wonderful teas and we got to choose the tea cup we liked and it was a gift to us. How fun and special was that??? Kim H had a very unusual tea from Africa and it was yummy. I had a blackberry and it was also very good.

This was a really fun morning plus the added bonus of the new Graphics 45 and Jenni Bowlin being in the store. What more could we all ask for.

Final Goodbyes

It has been a gut wrenching sad and emotional two months for the Struchen's. We have said our final goodbyes with many tears, laughter, sadness and breaking hearts. Dad passed on Feb 25th and now Mom has joined him on March 10th.  We knew Mom was very ill but none of us expected that she would go so very quickly. And now as my sister says we are orphans.  We are still family but right now without Dad and Mom to bring us and keep us all together as they had worked so hard to do all these years. Where did the weekend go????

It doesn't seem to matter if I have 3 days off or a normal Saturday & Sunday off, it is never ever enough. Here it is already 7pm and I am getting ready for work tomorrow. Last early day and then back to the old routine. So what did I accomplish this weekend?? not too much as far as the home front goes. Just the usual laundry and clean but no yard work. Now on the creative level I had a great inspiring weekend. I rode to Payson with Earleen and Annette on Sat am for a class by the 2 gypsy girls Debbie and Paula . I had my doubts I could construct a house that would stand. Due the patience of the 2 Gyspsie Girls my house is still standing today:) I loved this class. The roof holds the little album and the clever use of the 7 Gypsy elastics made the page signatures so easy. After class we joined Annette and her family at their reunion. Invited crashers we were. Carol's Heirloom Class

I was lucky enough to be able to attend Carol's Heirloom class on Sat. What a wonderful day with the most amazing hostess Patty and the best teacher Carol. The food was so fabulous, the group of ladies the best, and our class simply over the top. Below are the photos of my finished book. I love it. More posts on the food later.
