Sunday bike rides

Sadera & TJ getting the bikes ready for a FUN bike ride. Now none of us has ridden our bikes in over a year this should be good for sore muscles tomorrow!! Our goal was to work off all the food we ate at Redfish for lunch. Daddy John stayed home to sleep as he had to play for 6pm Mass.

And of course me, they didn't think I could ride so there Kids! Sadera was so happy to wear her bike helmet NOT!! Kids had a good afternoon with their Uncle TJ. He even let them climb all over his jeep.

This is my ugly ugly ugly bottlecap doll. The only cute thing about her is her legs. The make n take was fun...but bottlecap dolls are not for me.

I hosted a small group for a Christmas Stocking Swap. I kept the group small due to my time and work constraints and deadlines I was facing. My idea for the swap came from a wonderful online class I took with Nancy Maxwell James of Sugar Lump Studios . I really enjoyed her class and all her helpful tips and so the idea was born. I assigned secret partners, to each of the members as well as a Dec 10th deadline. Christine suggested we all wait and open our boxes on the same day. So today is the reveal. The stocking are gorgeous and it has been fun as the photos came in to see how each of us interpreted the theme. We designed and filled our stockings with goodies and then mailed to our partner. Today: Chaos, Cooking, Cleaning and Creating

What a day. I think I put the "Labor" into Labor Day. After yesterday, where I basically sat all day I needed to get going. And get going I did. From laundry to cleaning to grocery shopping to creating I have had a busy day. I have decided that what I eat sucks. I rarely cook a good meal and then at bedtime I am back to starving. So in my great wisdom I decided I needed to get with it and start fixing better meals for myself. Cooking for 1 is not the most inspiring thing. I am so used to cooking for larger groups and I tend to make too much. any how armed with a list for the grocery store and determination I headed out. I shopped and shopped, loaded all the groceries into the car and unloaded all the groceries from the car when I got home. From there it was a whirlwind of mixing and making my meals for the week.
