I have been pretty productive the last couple of days. Today was a class with Amy at DM. Altered the word Joy with Christmas papers, glitter, and ribbons. Love it andalready have it hanging up. I finished up the 6 stockings from Kim's class on Tuesday and today I altered 5 stars with funky Christmas papers. Glitter is everywhere. Have 2 gifts made for family and will work on more tomorrow. Good weekend so far. Stars I altered. I need to find asuitable container to put them in Stockings from Kim's class. Finally have them all put together.

Thanksgiving 2006

Thanksgiving 2006 was a great day. Like last year TJ and I joined Jenn, John, kids, Tal (John's brother) and John's uncle Larry. Jen once again found new recipes and put on a fabulous spread. We had turkey with a cherry wine glaze that was soo good. Then a mushroom dressing, homemade rolls, and the potatoes were unbelievable. A twice baked potato stuffed with her special recipe. Of course the green bean casserole, special sweet potatoes, corn and pumkin bread rounded out our dinner. Pumkin pie and bourban pecan chocolate pie completed our meal. We have so much to be thankful for and we enjoyed hanging out. TJ and kids waiting for dinner Our table Special home made rolls baked by Jenn Anthony and Sadera trying to break the wishbone Sadera won this year Starbuck's tree Reindeer I made for the tree Three of the 6 stockings I am working on. This was a class at DM taught by the talented creative Kim. It was a relaxing fun class

From beginning to end

My bare tree. It just has the branches on it. Such a great class with Kim at Devine Memories The 25 envelopes that I finally completed at 7PM tonite. Yeah. This was a "Project" as Anthony would say that took me all day. But I loved every minute of working on them And finally my completed Advent Tree. I sure hope Sadera and Anthony enjoy it as much as I do. So now to clean up the big mess, eat dinner, do a load of laundry and head to bed. Exciting life huh?

Sneak Peak

Kim's class Saturday was the advent tree. This is such a neat project and I want to do another one for me. This one is for the grandkids. Colleen's tree. Colleen had all her envelopes completed before she came to class. She has a beautiful tree her second one. I haven't seen her first one yet Colleen and Kim trying to figure out if the church is a cathedral or temple My tree. Colleen was so good. She not only let me use her gold nails but she pounded them in for me after I wacked my finger a good one. Today I have been working on the 25 envelopes and have them finally all done. Colleen is bringing me the church so I too will have a church in mine. Now I just need to hang them with my fabric strips. Then you will get to see the finished project.

Classes this week

Jan's annual well 2nd year container class was Wednesday nite we made 6 different wrappings/containers for candy bars, M&M's, candy, cocoa. Fun nite. Colleen and I are great team mates Tuesday nite was "Follow the Leader" class with Michelle and Kim. Loved both layouts. Kim had the bright pinks and greens with embossing of the D and flowers. Lots of glitter in my hair hmmmm how it got there haven't a clue. Must have been on my hands Michelle's layout was a Christmas layout with a diamond glaze and diamond dust tree.

Lazy Sunday afternoon

Image
It is a beautiful fall day here. All my windows are open and a gentle breeze is blowing in the house. I'm being rather lazy and slowly picking up and organizing and putting things away. I had to make a quick run to Wallmart on the hunt for a bar stool with a back. My backless stools kill my back when I sit at my scrapping table too long. So below is a pic of what I picked up. Mind you it had to be put together but only took 30 minutes to do that. Picture instructions Jo not written:) While cruising the aisles at Wallmart lookey what I found. Rooster placemats for my table and to top it off they were on sale yipee! At last, I have finished my ribbon ball from an idea from Nora Griffin's blog. I love it and it is so pretty. Not too sure I like the container I sat it in so will either spray paint the container or find something different to put it in. Ok break time is over. I hear laundry calling me. Later....

First week back to work

Image
My vacation was over and it was a long tiring week at work. Winter visitors are back oh yeah! Between trying to catch up from being gone, trying to keep track of the hospital patients (I'm sure my doc thinks I was a zombie), admitting 4 new patients and figuring out staffing it was full week. Claudia was in Disneyland foraweek with her family boy did we miss ya. TJ filled in and did a good job. Jo I finally got the pics on the layout I bought at DM. The colors are absolutely perfect! Amy designed this one they told me. Recipe swap layout I was trying to explain to my sister. Here it is Jo Got the pics hung a good friend gave me. The colors are exactly what I was looking for so am really pleased with them and yeap the SW wine rack has to go I know Wednesday nite was Stampin Up club at Jan's. Fun and another great group of cards. So since Iwas awakened much earlier than I wanted by sawing, hammering and very loud Mexican music thank you neighbor for having the workers there
