Lazy Sunday

Another busy weekend is ending. It seems like today should be Saturday and not Sunday. As I said in my previous post Friday was a bust, cleaning up after my small??? plumbing problem. I am happy to say that the stuff I dumped in the drain and left for 8++++hours worked its magic and all drains seem to be doing well. I say this with my fingers crossed!
Yesterday started early. A group of us met at Crackers in Mesa and had a baby shower for a dear friend. Good food, good laughs good time. Following the shower we headed to Mesa and Peddlar's Wife. Each of us had something we were looking for and most of us found these items. From Peddlars Wife to lunch and then to Market Square. Yahoo I found the bread pans I was coveting. Snatched them up quick and even found enough for Colleen, Kim, and Michelle Yeah for us. Also found another flour sack towel that was reasonable, and 2 more halloween ornaments to match the ones my sister sent me.
From Market Square we headed to Devine Memories to the silent auction. I was very lucky and was able to get all 3 of the items I had bid on.
So today TJ and I went over to Jenn's for a BBQ again good food and good to hang out with the family. many things I could be doing but... just kicking back as tomorrow is work again oh yeah

When I got home last nite this was on my doorstep. I had ordered it awhile ago so good to finally get it

I hosted a small group for a Christmas Stocking Swap. I kept the group small due to my time and work constraints and deadlines I was facing. My idea for the swap came from a wonderful online class I took with Nancy Maxwell James of Sugar Lump Studios . I really enjoyed her class and all her helpful tips and so the idea was born. I assigned secret partners, to each of the members as well as a Dec 10th deadline. Christine suggested we all wait and open our boxes on the same day. So today is the reveal. The stocking are gorgeous and it has been fun as the photos came in to see how each of us interpreted the theme. We designed and filled our stockings with goodies and then mailed to our partner. Today: Chaos, Cooking, Cleaning and Creating

What a day. I think I put the "Labor" into Labor Day. After yesterday, where I basically sat all day I needed to get going. And get going I did. From laundry to cleaning to grocery shopping to creating I have had a busy day. I have decided that what I eat sucks. I rarely cook a good meal and then at bedtime I am back to starving. So in my great wisdom I decided I needed to get with it and start fixing better meals for myself. Cooking for 1 is not the most inspiring thing. I am so used to cooking for larger groups and I tend to make too much. any how armed with a list for the grocery store and determination I headed out. I shopped and shopped, loaded all the groceries into the car and unloaded all the groceries from the car when I got home. From there it was a whirlwind of mixing and making my meals for the week.
