Kiss kiss kiss

Another busy short week is almost gone. I could get used to having Mondays off. Makes the week go by so much faster.
Classes have started again and I didn't realize how much I missed them. Tuesday was Kim's Write It Down class at DM. I love my little book and plan to use it to set some goals. Need to finish the last 3 pages and then it is done and ready for me to write in.
Last nite was our Stampin Up club class. Again lots of fun and we learned to "KISS" with the stamps. We were all excited as we were able to see and use the big flower sell-a-bration stamp on our cards. I covet this stamp so naturally I ordered it as one of my free stamps. Can't wait to get it and play some more. Anyway back to "KISS" what fun this new technique was. I think it gave all of us a new appreciation for our background stamps. So below are the 3 cards we made.

The Stockings Were Hung

I hosted a small group for a Christmas Stocking Swap. I kept the group small due to my time and work constraints and deadlines I was facing. My idea for the swap came from a wonderful online class I took with Nancy Maxwell James of Sugar Lump Studios . I really enjoyed her class and all her helpful tips and so the idea was born. I assigned secret partners, to each of the members as well as a Dec 10th deadline. Christine suggested we all wait and open our boxes on the same day. So today is the reveal. The stocking are gorgeous and it has been fun as the photos came in to see how each of us interpreted the theme. We designed and filled our stockings with goodies and then mailed to our partner. Today: Chaos, Cooking, Cleaning and Creating

What a day. I think I put the "Labor" into Labor Day. After yesterday, where I basically sat all day I needed to get going. And get going I did. From laundry to cleaning to grocery shopping to creating I have had a busy day. I have decided that what I eat sucks. I rarely cook a good meal and then at bedtime I am back to starving. So in my great wisdom I decided I needed to get with it and start fixing better meals for myself. Cooking for 1 is not the most inspiring thing. I am so used to cooking for larger groups and I tend to make too much. any how armed with a list for the grocery store and determination I headed out. I shopped and shopped, loaded all the groceries into the car and unloaded all the groceries from the car when I got home. From there it was a whirlwind of mixing and making my meals for the week.
