Sunday

Well it is Sunday and the weekend is winding down. It has been a fully packed busy but fun weekend. Friday I played hookey and cleaned and did laundry oh so fun. Saturday was two fun classes at DM and dinner with family. Today Beth and I celebrated Colleen's birthday at Houston's in Scottsdale. So surprise here are photos of my weekend

After dinner Saturday night at PF Changs we all came back to my house to play games. I had picked up "Are you smarter than a fifth grader" nope not quite. We played one game of this and swithched to catch phrase. Many many laughs later the girls won yahoo way to go girls. Sadera was great at giving and figuring out clues. John and TJ were a riot Clue: You aint' nothing but a hound dog: TJ a cowboy??? we died laughing at this one

My crow has feet thanks to my Dad and yeap TJ and Dad I ended up hot gluing them on

Finally finished up the Halloween decoration with coasters that I had started at Jan's. I used all vintage images on both sides.

So yeap a busy weekend and now I need a day of rest ya like that is going to happen

I hosted a small group for a Christmas Stocking Swap. I kept the group small due to my time and work constraints and deadlines I was facing. My idea for the swap came from a wonderful online class I took with Nancy Maxwell James of Sugar Lump Studios . I really enjoyed her class and all her helpful tips and so the idea was born. I assigned secret partners, to each of the members as well as a Dec 10th deadline. Christine suggested we all wait and open our boxes on the same day. So today is the reveal. The stocking are gorgeous and it has been fun as the photos came in to see how each of us interpreted the theme. We designed and filled our stockings with goodies and then mailed to our partner. Today: Chaos, Cooking, Cleaning and Creating

What a day. I think I put the "Labor" into Labor Day. After yesterday, where I basically sat all day I needed to get going. And get going I did. From laundry to cleaning to grocery shopping to creating I have had a busy day. I have decided that what I eat sucks. I rarely cook a good meal and then at bedtime I am back to starving. So in my great wisdom I decided I needed to get with it and start fixing better meals for myself. Cooking for 1 is not the most inspiring thing. I am so used to cooking for larger groups and I tend to make too much. any how armed with a list for the grocery store and determination I headed out. I shopped and shopped, loaded all the groceries into the car and unloaded all the groceries from the car when I got home. From there it was a whirlwind of mixing and making my meals for the week.
