Grrrrrr

Since my DSL is acting up the past 2 days I have been unable to really post. I did get a couple of pics and then poof I was off line again.
Had a great weekend. I didn't accomplish as much as I had hoped, but all in all a fun weekend. Saturday with Colleen as usual was a blast. Lots of shopping and why did I buy more paper??? I must have enough to stock a store. I collect paper!
Sunday TJ surprised me and showed up so we went shopping. I think he finished his and I started. We called Jenn and her family and I fixed a wildly diverse meal and we had a ball dragging in the tree and putting it up. As usual unable to find the lights so there the tree sits bare as can be till I get lights. Little Anthony ran around putting out some of the decorations and everytime he found a spot for something he would say "Grandma this be perfect" what a doll. I'm very prejudiced.
So, I still have Christmas cards to make and send, unfinished projects to complete and of course new projects to begin. Help.

The Stockings Were Hung

I hosted a small group for a Christmas Stocking Swap. I kept the group small due to my time and work constraints and deadlines I was facing. My idea for the swap came from a wonderful online class I took with Nancy Maxwell James of Sugar Lump Studios . I really enjoyed her class and all her helpful tips and so the idea was born. I assigned secret partners, to each of the members as well as a Dec 10th deadline. Christine suggested we all wait and open our boxes on the same day. So today is the reveal. The stocking are gorgeous and it has been fun as the photos came in to see how each of us interpreted the theme. We designed and filled our stockings with goodies and then mailed to our partner. Today: Chaos, Cooking, Cleaning and Creating

What a day. I think I put the "Labor" into Labor Day. After yesterday, where I basically sat all day I needed to get going. And get going I did. From laundry to cleaning to grocery shopping to creating I have had a busy day. I have decided that what I eat sucks. I rarely cook a good meal and then at bedtime I am back to starving. So in my great wisdom I decided I needed to get with it and start fixing better meals for myself. Cooking for 1 is not the most inspiring thing. I am so used to cooking for larger groups and I tend to make too much. any how armed with a list for the grocery store and determination I headed out. I shopped and shopped, loaded all the groceries into the car and unloaded all the groceries from the car when I got home. From there it was a whirlwind of mixing and making my meals for the week.
