What a great day today was. Colleen and I headed out on an adventure today. We got this great idea at breakfast at TC Eggington's to head over to Surprise and check out a new scrapbooking store. What seemed like hours later we arrived. A really nice store and of course we bought a few and honestly it was only a few things. Then even though I was dying of thirst it was back to Aunt Pittypats in Glendale for lunch. I think I inhaled my diet pepsi. I was dying of thirst. After a too much food good lunch it was to creative Quest and we found a few stamps. Then we headed to Mystic Paper in Mesa and again found a few unusual items. Mainly we were on the antique side scouting out stuff to alter.
Now Mr A is here to keep Grandma company while Sadera has her dance rehearsal. Tomorrow is the big day dance recital and Mr A's sleepover with his uncle TJ.

I hosted a small group for a Christmas Stocking Swap. I kept the group small due to my time and work constraints and deadlines I was facing. My idea for the swap came from a wonderful online class I took with Nancy Maxwell James of Sugar Lump Studios . I really enjoyed her class and all her helpful tips and so the idea was born. I assigned secret partners, to each of the members as well as a Dec 10th deadline. Christine suggested we all wait and open our boxes on the same day. So today is the reveal. The stocking are gorgeous and it has been fun as the photos came in to see how each of us interpreted the theme. We designed and filled our stockings with goodies and then mailed to our partner. Today: Chaos, Cooking, Cleaning and Creating

What a day. I think I put the "Labor" into Labor Day. After yesterday, where I basically sat all day I needed to get going. And get going I did. From laundry to cleaning to grocery shopping to creating I have had a busy day. I have decided that what I eat sucks. I rarely cook a good meal and then at bedtime I am back to starving. So in my great wisdom I decided I needed to get with it and start fixing better meals for myself. Cooking for 1 is not the most inspiring thing. I am so used to cooking for larger groups and I tend to make too much. any how armed with a list for the grocery store and determination I headed out. I shopped and shopped, loaded all the groceries into the car and unloaded all the groceries from the car when I got home. From there it was a whirlwind of mixing and making my meals for the week.
