Great Saturday

Surprise RAK package from Rusty Pickle. When Gina (from Rusty Pickle) taught at Devine Memories she took all of our names and addresses and told us that once a month Rusty Pickle does a RAK. Imagine my surprise when I got home last night and this awaited me. 22 double sided patterned papers and 4 sheets of coordinating stickers. Yippee I'm in heaven.


Michelle's designed layout from class yesterday. Watercolor painting. Another new technique to add to my ever growing list. Colleen and I were talking that we have learned so many new things in each class we have taken. Fun stuff! Fun painting!


Kim's class was bling!!!!! and painting. Again we learned new stuff fun fun. Love the bling. I already have a perfect picture in mind for this


While Colleen completed her 20 pages from a previous class I worked on the 6 kits from the Follow the Leader Class. We had a great day. Jenn met Colleen and I and we took her to lunch, then back to DM to scrapbook till 6:30. Long but fun day.

The Stockings Were Hung

I hosted a small group for a Christmas Stocking Swap. I kept the group small due to my time and work constraints and deadlines I was facing. My idea for the swap came from a wonderful online class I took with Nancy Maxwell James of Sugar Lump Studios . I really enjoyed her class and all her helpful tips and so the idea was born. I assigned secret partners, to each of the members as well as a Dec 10th deadline. Christine suggested we all wait and open our boxes on the same day. So today is the reveal. The stocking are gorgeous and it has been fun as the photos came in to see how each of us interpreted the theme. We designed and filled our stockings with goodies and then mailed to our partner. Today: Chaos, Cooking, Cleaning and Creating

What a day. I think I put the "Labor" into Labor Day. After yesterday, where I basically sat all day I needed to get going. And get going I did. From laundry to cleaning to grocery shopping to creating I have had a busy day. I have decided that what I eat sucks. I rarely cook a good meal and then at bedtime I am back to starving. So in my great wisdom I decided I needed to get with it and start fixing better meals for myself. Cooking for 1 is not the most inspiring thing. I am so used to cooking for larger groups and I tend to make too much. any how armed with a list for the grocery store and determination I headed out. I shopped and shopped, loaded all the groceries into the car and unloaded all the groceries from the car when I got home. From there it was a whirlwind of mixing and making my meals for the week.
