What a Week! What a Day!

I am giving you all a warning this is going to be a long post with lots of pics!! I was a bad blogger this week and didn't blog so here it is all in one post.
Work is busy with new patients starting dialysis and winter visitors trickling in. Add to that the usual paper work and one filled up week.

Yesterday Colleen and I took Sadera with us for the day. We were missing Kim and her girls but Kim was busy consructing a pirate ship. Can't wait to see her pics. Can I just say what a trooper Sadera was and she LOVES shopping as much as we do. She is up for anything and basically that is what she got. A whole day of shopping Colleen and Grandma style.
Of course our first stop was Starbuck's and coffees and pumpkin bread mmmm so good. Then to Mystic Paper. Due to us being a bit early Mystic wasn't open so we wandered the booths lined up along the street. Michelle had her fantastic mosaic creations there and Colleen purchased two really sweet pieces. Check her blog for pics.
After wandering around for a bit we headed to Mystic Paper. They were doing the ghost tours so we got to hear again the tape recordings of the ghosts. Sadera thought that was pretty cool and had tons of questions. We ran into Maija and got all caught up on what we had all been doing since we saw her last week. Maija was taking the chandalier class at Mystic. We were able to help Colleen find paper for her banner for the baby shower she is hosting and a "few" other things. The new Basic Grey lines are beautiful and I caved and bought the Urban Prairie.
From Mystic we went to a new to us thrift store and Sadera helped us find lots of goodies the main one being travel irons for our bees wax. We scored well with an iron for each of us.
So as we were starved we headed to TC Eggington's only Colleen made a wrong turn (ya I know surprise huh) actually we were all talking away. But to her benifit it was a good wrong turn as we pulled into ETC and she was able to find the diecut for her banner. We, with difficulty managed to cut nine 12x12 banner thingys. So all in all a good move. Then we made the right turns and TC's was on the agenda for lunch. Great lunch with a chocolate pie that was so rich, gooey and delicious.
A quick trip to Michael's and Colleen and I were done in. Little Ms Sadera was still going. We still headed home, unloaded, said goodbye to Colleen and started "scrapping". We scrapped till 10:30PM. Yeap old grandma was tired. Jen came at the perfect time to pick up Sadera plus we got to see John and Jen's costumes. Yes I will put up pics to embarrass my daughter, but later.

Thrift store finds

ATC cards from swap. This months theme was flowers. I need to post mine but this is already a bit long:)

Another new favorite paper line "Laundry Line"

And Basic Grey Urban Prairie

Here is my "friend" that stalks my driveway. I have used a whole can of Raid, destroyed her webs and still she comes back daily. I guess she is eating bugs but I don't like spiders. Anyway Sadera and I had fun trying to get this photo and it actually came out pretty darn good. If you click on the pic you can really see the hour glass on her belly

The following pics are of Sadera working on one of the 3 projects we did yesterday evening. Note the Tim Holtz apron. Yeap starting her out young to appreciate the creativity of Tim

My cigar swap partner sent me a wonderful gift certificate and here are my goodies . Loving the keys. Thanks again Carol.

Colleen is destashing, sorting, and getting rid of "THINGS" so she generously brought a huge IKEA bag to my house yesterday. Colleen as she will readily tell you has OCD, but even she is not as bad as the person we saw on our way to Mystic that was cleaning with a rag and Windex their webbed fence. We laughed all the way to Mystic

Here is just a few of the goodies from Colleen's bag. Sadera had the honor of sorting and taking anyting she wanted so a box and a shopping bag later she was one happy camper. Thanks Colleen

Ok this has turned into a book and blogger is giving me fits and won't do a spell check and will no longer upload photos hmmm gee wonder why.
So I will finally end and go clean up the messy house and figure out what to do with the left over goodies from Colleen
