Almost here

It is hard to believe that it is Christmas Eve already. It seems to come faster every year. I remember as a child thinking Christmas would never arrive. The anticipation of all the celabrations, food, family get togethers and chaos of Christmas morning were looked forward to with great anticipation. This has been a different year for me. As a family we decided to downsize with the gift giving. Basically very hard for me as I love giving gifts. We are concentrating on being together and playing games with the kids.Of course John and TJ are so competitive that this will be fun. It has also been a more peaceful holiday season. Everything has fallen into place more easily and I'm ready. Yeap you heard that right I'm ready. House is cleaned, groceries have been bought, meal planned AND the gifts are wrapped and under the tree WAHOO Now I can sit back and relax today and enjoy. First time in a long long time Might even get to play with my scrap stuff

I made the star boxes to hold the tags that are on each gift. Sandy at DM taught us these in a make-n-take andIlove them I decided to take a tradition from my folks and use it to playa little game as the kids are old enough this year. Each gift has a tag and each person's box holds a tag. They have to match the tags to find their gifts
Here are the tags. Anthony has the penguin, Sadera the reindeer, TJ the snowman, John the light bulb and Jennifer the ornament. Thanks to cricut these were fun and easy to make

And to make my day even better my scrap muse kit is her and oh boy it was loaded this time. Haven't had a chance to go through it all but that is on the agenda today.

The Stockings Were Hung

I hosted a small group for a Christmas Stocking Swap. I kept the group small due to my time and work constraints and deadlines I was facing. My idea for the swap came from a wonderful online class I took with Nancy Maxwell James of Sugar Lump Studios . I really enjoyed her class and all her helpful tips and so the idea was born. I assigned secret partners, to each of the members as well as a Dec 10th deadline. Christine suggested we all wait and open our boxes on the same day. So today is the reveal. The stocking are gorgeous and it has been fun as the photos came in to see how each of us interpreted the theme. We designed and filled our stockings with goodies and then mailed to our partner. It's A Busy Good Friday

These past 2 weeks have alternately flown by and dragged by. We are up and running on are new Cyber Ren EMR and we are all loving it. The staff have done an amazing job of picking up the new system and continuing to dialyze without missing a beat. TJ has been a lifesaver from helping me enter all the data to setting up all the computers in the education room for training to knowing the system inside and out. The Doc has been supportive and he understands and uses the system as well as the trainers. So all in all it has been a good experience just very long. For now we are on our own and our wonderful rep and trainer Ulrich is back in Canada. Guess time will tell if we have all the kinks and bugs worked out So long intro into why I decided to stay home today. I am exhausted. I have done very little for the Easter dinner at my house this Sunday. So here I am cleaning and doing laundry and trying to decorate. I still haven't come up with anything special for Mr A and Ms S.
