Yeap I'm mixing it up and not blogging on my usual Sunday. I once again am home on Friday! Had a list and great plans for getting all this stuff done both inside and out. Well you know what they say about the best laid plans of mice and men? So I'm doing fun things today. I must say that even though the pool is not cleaned and the house has not been cleaned yet I do have 2 loads of laundry done and am poking around organizing stuff in my scrap room plus I'm playing. So all in all a very good day.
Took a dress template and altered it. I have had so much fun doing this that I'm doing a whole series of them. Working on a ballet one now. Plan to somehow hang them up like a banner type thing in my scrap room Just because they make me happy!
QUEEN necklace from last weekends adventures. Love this blinged out guady thing and wore it to work. At least Claudia loved it. But it has special significance for Caudia and I. Hey Claudia, Colleen and Kim PLP!!!!!!!!!

So Colleen has another adventure planned for us tomorrow either Art Unraveled or the stamping convention in Mesa. And after last weekend in Glendale I bet we are headed to Mesa via Starbucks and Mystic Paper as I hear there mite be another homeless baby doll waiting for adoption. You just never know. Me I'm done buying I bet you are all laughing at that one. But really I have no more room for antique finds, paper, ribbons etc ya stamps too so I'm on the browse mode

I hosted a small group for a Christmas Stocking Swap. I kept the group small due to my time and work constraints and deadlines I was facing. My idea for the swap came from a wonderful online class I took with Nancy Maxwell James of Sugar Lump Studios . I really enjoyed her class and all her helpful tips and so the idea was born. I assigned secret partners, to each of the members as well as a Dec 10th deadline. Christine suggested we all wait and open our boxes on the same day. So today is the reveal. The stocking are gorgeous and it has been fun as the photos came in to see how each of us interpreted the theme. We designed and filled our stockings with goodies and then mailed to our partner. Today: Chaos, Cooking, Cleaning and Creating

What a day. I think I put the "Labor" into Labor Day. After yesterday, where I basically sat all day I needed to get going. And get going I did. From laundry to cleaning to grocery shopping to creating I have had a busy day. I have decided that what I eat sucks. I rarely cook a good meal and then at bedtime I am back to starving. So in my great wisdom I decided I needed to get with it and start fixing better meals for myself. Cooking for 1 is not the most inspiring thing. I am so used to cooking for larger groups and I tend to make too much. any how armed with a list for the grocery store and determination I headed out. I shopped and shopped, loaded all the groceries into the car and unloaded all the groceries from the car when I got home. From there it was a whirlwind of mixing and making my meals for the week.
