I'm bad!!! Oh so bad!!

Well Colleen and I went to Nordstoms! Anniversary Sale. Ya right. They saw me coming a mile away.We ran ok Colleen ran I struggled to keep up. They were having a sale but and a BIG BUT here folks, not on what I wanted. Colleen snagged T-shirts and shoes. Me, well lets just say my paycheck next week is considerably already spent. However, as I think back it has been at least 1 year since I have spent money on good work clothes. (Rationalizing) So 2 dresses, 2 skirts and 2 tops later most of it not on sale I have new clothes to wear to work. Yipee.
It was so hot in the store that one lady passed out, I'm thinking she saw her bill, but I'll go along with the heat story, that they had to walk her to her car with all her bags. They handed out these cute little water bottles as you went in. Of course we got ours going out but water is water. Aren't these bags just too cute??

The Stockings Were Hung

I hosted a small group for a Christmas Stocking Swap. I kept the group small due to my time and work constraints and deadlines I was facing. My idea for the swap came from a wonderful online class I took with Nancy Maxwell James of Sugar Lump Studios . I really enjoyed her class and all her helpful tips and so the idea was born. I assigned secret partners, to each of the members as well as a Dec 10th deadline. Christine suggested we all wait and open our boxes on the same day. So today is the reveal. The stocking are gorgeous and it has been fun as the photos came in to see how each of us interpreted the theme. We designed and filled our stockings with goodies and then mailed to our partner. Today: Chaos, Cooking, Cleaning and Creating

What a day. I think I put the "Labor" into Labor Day. After yesterday, where I basically sat all day I needed to get going. And get going I did. From laundry to cleaning to grocery shopping to creating I have had a busy day. I have decided that what I eat sucks. I rarely cook a good meal and then at bedtime I am back to starving. So in my great wisdom I decided I needed to get with it and start fixing better meals for myself. Cooking for 1 is not the most inspiring thing. I am so used to cooking for larger groups and I tend to make too much. any how armed with a list for the grocery store and determination I headed out. I shopped and shopped, loaded all the groceries into the car and unloaded all the groceries from the car when I got home. From there it was a whirlwind of mixing and making my meals for the week.
