Happy Mother's Day

What a wonderful day this has been. Actually it has been such a good weekend all around. From my previous posts I think you all know I bought myself a new camera and from previous posts everyone knows how much I love it. Well now my kids love it too. I took many pics and so did Jenn and TJ unfortunately TJ eliminated all the pics of himself. So the following pics are mainly ones Jenn and TJ took. We all met at the Elephant Bar for lunch and to celebrate all of our birthdays and Mother's Day.
Sadera and Anthony were exhausted from the sleepover on Sat for Sadera's birthday party.
Good good food, great desserts and lots of conversations. Following lunch we all trooped over to REI 3rd time this weekend for me and came out empty handed. TJ and I came home and he fixed my leaky shower faucet after a brief trip to Home Depot. Now I am kicking back and looking at all these pictures I have snapped. Great weekend!!!

Sounds like you had a great Mother's Day. Wish Kim and I could have joined you and Colleen on Saturday - what a fun day!

I hosted a small group for a Christmas Stocking Swap. I kept the group small due to my time and work constraints and deadlines I was facing. My idea for the swap came from a wonderful online class I took with Nancy Maxwell James of Sugar Lump Studios . I really enjoyed her class and all her helpful tips and so the idea was born. I assigned secret partners, to each of the members as well as a Dec 10th deadline. Christine suggested we all wait and open our boxes on the same day. So today is the reveal. The stocking are gorgeous and it has been fun as the photos came in to see how each of us interpreted the theme. We designed and filled our stockings with goodies and then mailed to our partner. Today: Chaos, Cooking, Cleaning and Creating

What a day. I think I put the "Labor" into Labor Day. After yesterday, where I basically sat all day I needed to get going. And get going I did. From laundry to cleaning to grocery shopping to creating I have had a busy day. I have decided that what I eat sucks. I rarely cook a good meal and then at bedtime I am back to starving. So in my great wisdom I decided I needed to get with it and start fixing better meals for myself. Cooking for 1 is not the most inspiring thing. I am so used to cooking for larger groups and I tend to make too much. any how armed with a list for the grocery store and determination I headed out. I shopped and shopped, loaded all the groceries into the car and unloaded all the groceries from the car when I got home. From there it was a whirlwind of mixing and making my meals for the week.
