Friday

Yeah it is Friday and the short weekend looms ahead. Adventures await me I am sure.

Saturday early am I am once again heading to Payson with Kim and Colleen. Kim is teaching an awesome class here. Colleen and I may get to take it if there are any spots left. Otherwise we will be shopping the store while Kim teaches. I am sure we will find something we can not live without. I need some more nail heads and corners for my Purple Monster and of course I need to introduce Colleen to the wonderful Purple Monster. After Kim's class I imagine we will be shopping some of the fun antique stores. Keeping my fingers crossed for some more blueberry coffee cake:)
So Colleen will pick up the new Starbuck's protein drinks for all of us and we will head out to Payson bright and early.
Sunday is family lunch but where we are not sure yet, I bet there will be pics later in the weekend.

Well, we'll miss you crazy girls this weekend. But, at least I know that I dn't have to get to the store 15 minutes early! Did I mention that I've got your keys made? Have a great time!

The Stockings Were Hung

I hosted a small group for a Christmas Stocking Swap. I kept the group small due to my time and work constraints and deadlines I was facing. My idea for the swap came from a wonderful online class I took with Nancy Maxwell James of Sugar Lump Studios . I really enjoyed her class and all her helpful tips and so the idea was born. I assigned secret partners, to each of the members as well as a Dec 10th deadline. Christine suggested we all wait and open our boxes on the same day. So today is the reveal. The stocking are gorgeous and it has been fun as the photos came in to see how each of us interpreted the theme. We designed and filled our stockings with goodies and then mailed to our partner. Today: Chaos, Cooking, Cleaning and Creating

What a day. I think I put the "Labor" into Labor Day. After yesterday, where I basically sat all day I needed to get going. And get going I did. From laundry to cleaning to grocery shopping to creating I have had a busy day. I have decided that what I eat sucks. I rarely cook a good meal and then at bedtime I am back to starving. So in my great wisdom I decided I needed to get with it and start fixing better meals for myself. Cooking for 1 is not the most inspiring thing. I am so used to cooking for larger groups and I tend to make too much. any how armed with a list for the grocery store and determination I headed out. I shopped and shopped, loaded all the groceries into the car and unloaded all the groceries from the car when I got home. From there it was a whirlwind of mixing and making my meals for the week.
