What Have I Been Doing???

Let's see it was another fast paced week that flew by. It was the usual work,eat, sleep mode with a few fun things thrown in.
Okay lets get real and honest what did I do this week you ask??
Well I farmed!!! Yeap you heard me right I was a farming fool. I am a member of the Farmville community and I have my own farm thanks to TJ who sucked me in. I returned the favor and now have Jenn and Sadera farming. Family that farms together stays together is my new motto. So I am busy buying animals and trees and planting and harvesting many different crops!! Is this a time waster when I could be doing laundry, cleaning and 100 million other things absolutely! Do I care?? nope I am addicted to farming. Thank you Facebook for coaxing me and to TJ for getting my competitive juices going. Mafia I suck at farming I am doing well

Wednesday nite was Stampin Up Club and Jan had 3 beautiful cards for us to make. Missed our Colleen as she is still in Cali


I have been on the hunt for Melissa Frances bottle brush trees. Finally found them at Emma's Paperie . They arrived Thursday cutely wrapped.





So it is back to the farm for me as I am sure I must have some crops to harvest or animals to buy

I hosted a small group for a Christmas Stocking Swap. I kept the group small due to my time and work constraints and deadlines I was facing. My idea for the swap came from a wonderful online class I took with Nancy Maxwell James of Sugar Lump Studios . I really enjoyed her class and all her helpful tips and so the idea was born. I assigned secret partners, to each of the members as well as a Dec 10th deadline. Christine suggested we all wait and open our boxes on the same day. So today is the reveal. The stocking are gorgeous and it has been fun as the photos came in to see how each of us interpreted the theme. We designed and filled our stockings with goodies and then mailed to our partner. Today: Chaos, Cooking, Cleaning and Creating

What a day. I think I put the "Labor" into Labor Day. After yesterday, where I basically sat all day I needed to get going. And get going I did. From laundry to cleaning to grocery shopping to creating I have had a busy day. I have decided that what I eat sucks. I rarely cook a good meal and then at bedtime I am back to starving. So in my great wisdom I decided I needed to get with it and start fixing better meals for myself. Cooking for 1 is not the most inspiring thing. I am so used to cooking for larger groups and I tend to make too much. any how armed with a list for the grocery store and determination I headed out. I shopped and shopped, loaded all the groceries into the car and unloaded all the groceries from the car when I got home. From there it was a whirlwind of mixing and making my meals for the week.
